Silver Scripts is an Online pharmacy that brings together pharmacists and patients throughout Ontario to conduct a virtual consulation & assessment, you do not come to the pharmacy to meet in person. Instead, you speak with your pharmacist using a smartphone, tablet or computer.

TO BOOK A VIRTUAL VISIT IN THE VIRTUAL PHARMACY, YOU MUST:

Be 18 years of age or older *Those under 18 can still be assessed if consent is given from parent/guardian

Have any of the 13 medical conditions classified as a minor ailment

Have a valid OHIP card

Minor ailments are described as health conditions that can be managed with minimal treatment and/or self-care strategies, and currently include:

Dysmenorrhea (painful menstruation)

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD, characterized by repeated flow of stomach acid into the esophagus)

Herpes labialis (cold sores)

Impetigo (a contagious skin infection, typically affecting children, that causes blisters or sores on the face, neck, hands, and diaper area)

Hemorrhoids

Urinary tract infections (uncomplicated)

Musculoskeletal sprains and strains

Allergic rhinitis (allergic reaction that causes sneezing, congestion, itchy nose and sore throat)

Candidal stomatitis (oral fungal infection, also known as oral thrush)

Conjunctivitis (bacterial, allergic and viral "pink eye")

Dermatitis (atopic, eczema, allergic and contact)

Insect bites and urticaria (hives)

Tick bites, post-exposure prophylaxis to prevent Lyme disease

What do I need for my virtual consultation?

What can I expect during my virtual consultation?

The pharmacist will talk to you about your concerns. Depending on your needs, the pharmacist may suggest either of the following next steps: Issue you a prescription Ask you to see a family doctor or visit a walk-in clinic Ask you to go to your nearest Emergency Department Nothing further, if your need can be addressed with common self-care measures and over-the-counter medications, and you do not require any prescription medications.

If I require a prescription medication, will it automatically be delivered to me from your pharmacy?

Yes, our goal is to take care of all your needs, and we will deliver your medication right to your door. However, you also have an option to get this prescription filled at any pharmacy in Ontario.

Can I get all of my prescription medications from you?

Yes! We are a fully accredited pharmacy. Please let us know if you'd like to transfer your prescriptions to us and we'll take care of the rest.

Can I book an appointment for a family member?

Yes, you can book an appointment for a family member. When you are filling out the booking form, you can provide your own name as the contact, and your family member's name and information as the patient. The appointment link will be sent to the email address provided in the intake form.
